Curious about physical, results of a Aftermarket Cd Player

the CD player I had in my old vehicle (1995 Jimmy) I want to hook up to this one (2004 Canyon), I have a Pioneer usb single din player. I know its possible to hook it up, I have to buy a hundred dollar harness cause my truck has on star (ouch) and a mounting kit. Will installing it make my dash loose and junked up a bit? If any one here has installed a single din in their canyon or colorado could you show me a picture of what it will look like? The CD player has Ipod compatibility which is the soul reason for wanting to hook it up, and since I already bought it, it feels like why not use it? Its a waste not too. So in your opinions, should I get it installed, or should I attempt to sell my player amongst friends and just rock the stock?

I think this mounting kit looks best although it is not the cheapest

http://www.humount.com

You can get it with the text reading CANYON and back-lit

Yeah, that single din kit is very nice. Not as nice as my double din HU, but still pretty nice :D

Re: Curious about physical, results of a Aftermarket Cd Player

Well I understand this is a very old thread but the reason I am posting in here. Is because.... I DID IT! And wanted to thank DBNissan for showing me this mounting kit, because its what I bought.

Re: Curious about physical, results of a Aftermarket Cd Player

Looks Awesome. One of the things keeping me from going aftermarket is that I hate how shitty single DINs look in these trucks and I don't want to pony up the cash for a dual DIN. This might change my mind.

Re: Curious about physical, results of a Aftermarket Cd Player

thanks for your comments. Yeah I got this because I already had that single din from my GMC Jimmy that I used to have, so instead of selling it and buying a double din. I wanted to find the best alternative, and DBNissan showed me this, it is expensive, I think I paid about $75, $80 for it, but once its in the vehicle its worth it to spend that much for how nice it turned out.

Re: Curious about physical, results of a Aftermarket Cd Player

their not to bright at all, the kit comes with this dark piece of plastic that goes over the light so its not super bright. Just bright enough. I tried the kit without the plastic and it was like lightsaber bright lol, pretty cool if your into starwars though very distracting.

Looks good Brandon. One way that I drew the attention away from the black metal plate was by painting it the same color as the surround. Just an idea...
