Metra GMRC-01 works nicely for me.

I just replaced the crappy Scosche chime module in our truck that at first wouldn't work only when the temp was like below 10 degrees but slowly got worse and wasn't even working until about 50 degrees or until the truck warmed up, and you'd have to turn the truck off and back on to get it to come back once the truck was warm.

Replaced it with a Metra GMRC-01 about 2 weeks ago and haven't any trouble yet and the weather has been in the 20's and 30's again so I feel like its been a fair test :)

Digging up old threads on both forums huh? Ha ha.

Yeah the Metra is way better than the Scosche

Yep, thought someone might find it helpful as I recently was searching the forums for the chime issue and couldn't find a lot of people's responses to Scosche unit, since I just swapped recently I thought I'd add to the "old" threads I found:)

Technically it's against the forum rules to dig up old threads.

Refer to #10 in section II of the site rules... http://coloradofans.com/forums/86-ge...ite-rules.html

It's no big deal... just an FYI

After weeks of pulling it out resetting it and reinstalling, I to ripped out the Scosche chimes unit. I was lucky I had a Metra unit from my Malibu and just wired it in and it works just like it should. No more warning lights or chimes not working and no more Scosche display on my radio. I think that company put more technical time into the electronics to flash the Scosche name when the radio turns on. I am surprised that no government agency come out and told Scosche to remove this product from stores. It obviously taps into the data lines and sends incorrect data to the system.
