Ok so im installing a dvd radio and there is a wire to connect to gear reverse position and one wirs to the lighting switch terminal. No clue where they go.by the way the radio is a pioneer avh-x3600bhs. Also do I need to run a accessory wire..none of these wires are on factory plug....please help.....thanks
Need some more info like year, trim package, or onstar. It is best recommended to not hack into the factory harness but yet install an adapter harness.
There's a light green wire at pin-3 on the rear view mirror you can use for the reverse input and you will need to use a GM class-II data bus interface such as the Metra VT-GMRC-01 or VT-GMOS-01.
Lighting switch is usually useless as it's for a dimmer that doesn't actually feed on most decks.
The reverse you just ground behind the dash, it allows you to play dvd's full time regardless of what gear you are in (most decks only ground at park, keeping you from watching while driving). Unless you installed a backup camera, in which case you should have gotten it from crutchfield because they will tell you what to tap into.
The wire says illumination. And the reverse wire is for the rear cam I guess.so your saying I dont need both
