Default Maintenance Schedule?

Hey guys,

I have 63k. What's the OFFICIAL maintenance schedule for the Colorado? All I've done is oil changes, tire rotations, wiper blades, check/fill fluids and occasionally run injector cleaner in the tank.

I know I need to check the air filter (I checked that before, but it was not too dirty), etc. Some say fuel filter, but all I can find says 100k intervals and same for the spark plugs.... my mileage has NOT dropped at all. In fact, it has been great lately. I just want to keep things going :)

I plan to pull and clean the throttle body to remedy an occasional stumble when pushing in the clutch (and low idle at times)... I have an ABS light and I will probably have to replace an ABS sensor..... my brakes seem OK, but are original..... need to have them checked, but I don't want to pull them apart.

What's the official line? The engine has timing chains right, no need for a belt change?

The official maintenance schedule should be in the back of your owners manual, just before the index.

I'm relatively confident the fuel filter is something insanely low, like 15K or something like that. That being said, I still haven't changed mine, and I'm at 113K

When the change oil light goes on, you alternate between Maintenance I and II also there's items you do at fixed mileages. It's all in the owners manual but like many of us, we read the manual so many times the pages are worn and torn and it can no longer be read. Rest easy my friend, there's hope. Go to It's the official GM owner's page, register and tell 'em what GM cars you own and once you log in you can download a fresh copy of the owners manual and carry with you wherever you go.
