2007 Colorado with I-4 2.9 Starter continues to crank after starting. I shut it right off then it will crank but not start for 5 to 10 min. Could this be related to passkey also?

I've taken it to the dealership, but of course, they "can't replicate the problem." I somehow don't think this could be a passlock issue. I used to get really ticked off when this would happen, now I've resigned to the fact that this truck just isn't top quality. Should have stuck with Honda.
Your last two sentences are so so true. I drove a '91 Accord for 17 years without a single problem other than normal maintenance then bought this 2006 Colorado used in 2008. Within 3 months I received a notice on the engine valve problem, a short time later after that a notice on the brake light problem (don't remember what the warning was on that), and now this "no start" situation. Now I remember why I swore off GM vehicles back in '91 when I bought the Honda. Too bad, but I guess that's why they had to have a government bail out to profit loses.

Hope our experts here can find a definite elimination for this "no start problem".

I've been having a similar trouble, the truck doesn't start on the first ignition when it's cold, for example in the mourning i have to give it 2 or 3 tries, but i'm not sure if is an ignition trouble, because i don't have to wait 10 mins for a second try, besides I only carry around the key and a small controller for the truck aftermarket alarm...

the problem began a likea week ago... tomorrow i'll pay attention for the lock on the dash; and let you know...

mine it's an 2007 i5 manual....

When you leave it set for about 10 minutes or so and try it again it will start and be fine for several months before it happens again. Any one every had this problem or heard of anything like this??
the same thing happened to me when the problem occurs look at your RPM Gage and see if it moves while you are cranking. If it does not move your crankshaft postition sensor fails inermittenly and needs to be replaced. If you do have RPM signal check fuel pump pressures.
