Either the manifold shield or the secondary cat shield. Put a hose clamp over the second cat under the body and see if it goes away.

I had the same problem too. They just tighten the bots on mine and it took care of it.

if you remove the heat shield you will create lots of unnecessary heat under the hood, and it would probably not be the best thing for the motor...mine had a bolt stripped out of it from the factory and it was just stripped out...it could just be a simple fix

I had a problem with rattleing between 2050rpm and 3000rpm and it ended up being the second catalytic converter (the one built into the exhaust manifold) I guess the cat thats built into the exhaust breaks without too much of a bump to the exhaust pipe. It was replaced under the 8 year or 80k emissions warranty. Some of the heat shields may look like they have a broken weld but dont because they are welded and have the lip of the shield coming down after the weld.

I had this same issue with my truck. Manifold was replaced under the 80k warranty. I also noticed that the silver AC lines under the truk were causing a little bit of a rattle also. They run under the passenger side close to the manifold. I just bent them away from each other a little and it was fixed.
