I have the 2005 models Manual page pasted above. I see nothing about the door be left open.
The original post was for the 2004 model.

Worked perfectly for me too (with the stem press at the end).

It was great, because I had just said to me wife the other nite:
"I can't believe we finally have keyless entry, and it doesn't even beep!!"

I know this is an old thread, but I just found it and did it - and it worked great! I was hoping to be able to do this - it is (was!) backwards from my Trailblazer, and so I would always go back to my Canyon to make sure the doors were locked (OCD?) if I couldn't see the lights flash. :D

Feckin' Genius!! I've been moaning to myself about the lack of feedback when I remote lock my 2007, and I find this thread not five minutes ago and it works. Set it to RFA2 and now it chirps when locking. No more second guessing in daylight whether the lights flashed or not.

By the way, has anyone seen my owners manual?

All I got is the Metra iPod adapter and Leer MX cap. All I need is canyonfans decal, cheaper gas, and a 'rough road ahead' bumpersticker.

always a good idea. but, as I implied, my manual has gone astray. and anyway, koolz71's instructions are so much more clear than those in an owners manual

I was laughing with you, not at you! :)

I couldn't even get it to work when I tried reading the manual.

I used this thread, and bingo!

hey i know it was a friendly jab that friggin' manual, I've half a mind to not replace it. hate to think what the dealer will want for it, and i can't register with mygmlink for another month or so (the truck is new and they haven't processed her vin yet). guess I'll muddle through with you canyonfans

i have been meaning to do this since i got my truck. i like hearing the horn beep to let me know it locked. followed the instructions posted here and it took me all of about 15 seconds to do it and it worked.

saves me a trip to the dealer :)
