Known Colorado Problems..

List any problems you have had with your Colorado..that either the dealer fixed or you did...

Trying to see how common problems are...

me:

1. Multiple small paint chips.

2. Throw car into reverse with gas tank below 1/4, and it automatically goes empty on the gauge and beeps 'low fuel'. I drive it for a short while and the gas gauge goes back up.

ABS speed sensor in the passenger side front failed.

Passenger side master cylinder failed causing brakes to fault. Had maybe 20% braking ability. Dealer replaced.

Rattling sound at approx 2000 rpms. Dealer fixed twice and it still does it.

Fan switch quite working except at 4 setting. Dealer replaced resistor but now 2 works like 1.

Driver side leaf spring squeked. Dealer replaced.

Front speakers crackled. Dealer replaced.

Got the Cylinder 2 misfire code. Unfortunely I took it to Advanced Auto to check the code and they deleted it. Action not taken by dealer since no stored code.

Weird sounding whiny rattle in the passenger side dash/firewall area. Dealer replaced evaporator lines but didn't solve the problem.

A loud squeak at start up. Dealer replaced belt twice. It still does it on very cold mornings.

Rotors warped at 2400 miles. Dealer turned rotors.
I don't drive it hard or brake hard.

Weird clicking sound that seems to be coming from the drivers side seat (60/40 bench). Haven't taken it to the dealer yet.

Thats all I can think of right now. None of it is major except the brake issue. They work fine with no complaints now. I love the truck but have had alot of 'first model year' issues.

I keep hearing rocks hit the bottom or side of my cab. I ccan't tell, but they are LOUD hits. I'm like WTF! Really ----es me off. Anyways, I got a couple scratches right in between the cab and the bed on my crew. I have NO idea how they happen. Unless its from those rocks, but HOW? Hate it!

The first is because of the EPA standards for paint. The second was reported by GM to be normal.

My deal is that the radio buttons' paint flakes off easily.

Yea, I never run my headlights without my fogs. And When I went to Texas in January, It was a 26 hour one way trip. So they were on much longer that the 1.5 hour at most they see here...Even melted the lenses a little...lol

Front tire wear-> dealer fixed & replaced tires under warranty
Blower motor -> warranty
Transfer case -> warranty
Plastic seat trim -> warranty
Paint Chips ->#@$%ty paint
Evap code -> cleaned connection to solenoid
Squeaks & squawks -> Big deal, it's a truck. All I've ever owned is 4x4 trucks, big & small. Noises are all part of owning a truck.

Rt Front turn signal bulb blew-dealer replaced it
ABS kicks in when the wheel is turned all the way over and you hit the brakes (like pulling into a parking spot)- dealer said they couldn't find anything wrong
Horrible rattling/clanging sound in 4th gear when you get on the throttle at low to medium RPM- dealer said they couldn't find anything wrong
Someting under the dash on driver's side rattles at 45-55mph- dealer said they couldn't find anything wrong
Lights in the cab sometimes don't come on when doors are opened.-it's been intermittant, so I haven't taken it in
