Question fluid type in rear/front diffs. and transfer case?

I have a 2004 colorado I5 3.5L , Auto , 4x4 ext. cab Z71. I need to know what ALL types(synthetic and standard oils) and capacity of fluids can be used in the following units on this truck?

1) Front differential - ALL acceptable types and capacity

2) Rear differential - ALL acceptable types and capacity

3) Transfer case - ALL acceptable types and capacity

Thanks in advance!

Your owners manual will give you all this information you need and the quantities for refilling. The front and rear axles take 75-90 weight gear oil for both the front or rear. Actually takes a bit less than 2 qts for the refill but I just dump the whole two bottles. As far as the transfer case, I can't help you much on that. I know some G.M transmissions take Dexron, so you may have to find your owners manual for the correct fluid for your transfer case fill.

Also the rear and front differential covers have a reusable gasket that can be reused without using any gooey silicone either. Just torque down and you won't have any leaks. If you have the desire to use silicone don't use it with the G.M gasket.
