http://www.chevrolet.com/colorado/specifications/

According to that I should tip the scales at 3826lbs

Lol, I keep rubbing it in to my firend with his 03 Silverado that I have a higher rated payload capacity than him - only by 100lbs, but thats what it says - haha :P

Mine was 3400 on the nose at the track's digital scales... that was 1/4 tank of gas, bed mat, no extra cargo, and without me in it.

GVW stands for Gross Vehicle Weight, and includes a full tank of fuel and all fluids (washer fluid, antifreeze, etc), as well as payload and passengers. It is not the weight of your truck.

Bump

Extended cab, auto, I-5, 2wd

With half a tank of gas and me in the truck with my stereo (at the time 2 10's and 2 amps) my truck weighed in at 3980 lbs at a state certified scale where I work.
