I like it! I drove a Ranger for the last 25 years and never had any issues. I would have taken this over my Colorado in a heartbeat. It looks similar and they used a little common sense designing the air dam. Fords QC is much better than GM.

The placement of that antennae in the front over the windshield definitely need to be changed. Over all I like the looks but not really wild about the tail lights but wouldn't be a deal breaker. But that antenna is hideous in front.

I saw a greyish/blue one sitting in the parking lot of the local wally world several days ago, and to be honest as a guy who hated the older rangers this actually looked pretty good. A lot bigger than the older small rangers. My first impression was it's almost but not quite the same size as the new gen Colorado's. Being on the Texas/Mexico ( the truck had Mex plates ) border I imagine I might see more in time, next time if a burly paranoid looking guy isn't sitting in the drivers seat I'll snap a pic. ;) Imagine the added pic of the ranger without the roll bar and in a blue/grey color and it would be what I saw.

Some Features
  • Hill Launch Assist, which helps drivers confidently start off from a slope, whether in first gear or reverse
  • Hill Descent Control, which uses the traction control system to help when descending steep slopes at a constant speed
  • Adaptive Load Control, which adjusts the Electronic Stability Control system based on vehicle load
  • Emergency Brake Assistance, which provides additional pressure to the brake system to increase braking force when you apply the brakes quickly in an emergency situation
I am pretty sure our twins have all these features (Z71 at least)

Hill launch is just a brake feature, not a "launch" control. Still just software manipulation of the TCS/ABS.

Hill descent control is self explanatory.

ESC is by the nature of its feedback gyro sensors, adaptive to load and weight distribution. Ours even contains software to help with trailer sway control.

Emergency Brake Assistance is provided by my brain and muscle memory. Pressing harder on the brake pedal after ABS is in full operation gets no additional braking. As the laws of physics dictate, panic braking can only be as good as friction between the tire and road will allow.

Mostly just marketing names for common items in new vehicle tech.

Looks like they tried to merge a Transit Connect to a Nissan Frontier

After a few quick mods, I like it. Should give the twins competition. Competition is GOOD. I'm not a chrome blingy guy.

Definitely like the orange one, minus the Avalanche-style bar at the front of the bed.

I saw one of these on I-10 in Houston the other day. Had Nuevo Leon plates so he has done a little driving. But yeah, I am not really a fan at this point. But oh well, people buy what they want, not what I want. You want to make the payments on it if it ever gets here that is your call.

Saw some of these in Turkey. Not a bad looking truck, but I definitely still prefer the look of the Colorado.

I think the V-6 turbo ford offers would be pretty fun in this truck.

all ford would need to do is skinny up the f150, call it the new f100 - put in a small EB and call it a day. I would buy it.

I would steal the mirrors off of it. They would look good on my Z71.
