And that being laaaaate 2017...like so late its going to be 2018.

Considering we have seen the Denali pics 6 months ago, and thats slated for Late 2017.....I dont have much hopes on it coming out soon.

Yeah, you're probably right.
I'm just excited to see the ZR-2.

That's basically the schedule I've been expecting.

2015 MY - Launch
2016 MY - Diesel
2017 MY - Denali
2018 MY - ZR-2

I wonder when they will fit in a slight stylistic refresh for the line. I know they left the styling of the first gen trucks unchanged for 9 model years, aside from different wheels and badging, but I'd be somewhat surprised to see them neglect the second gen trucks like that.
Devilmonkey and CrashFix like this.

2008 GMC Canyon, 3.7 I5, Off Road 4x4, Inferno Orange.

Guessing this is the front bumper they have in the spy photos.

I doubt we will ever see the ZR2 concept in mass production.

I think we will see a ZR2 again, the concept as shown above or the other version commonly seen (the green-colored one) probably isn't exactly it. But I think the nameplate is coming back. I also would tend to think that it won't be quite as radical of a departure from a regular twin as the S10 ZR2 was. Am wondering if the ZR2 name will be shared between the Colorado and Canyon as the S10 version was shared between the S10 and Sonoma. Trying to remember what the GMC ZR2 was called initially, something like Highrider? Yes I think it was a Sonoma Highrider then changed to Sonoma ZR2

GM is ensuring much more separation between the Chevy and GMC brands. There will be no GMC ZR2. GMC gets the Denali as its halo trim.
