My truck doesnt have them, the deal they offered was to get that truck off the lot instead of what all I wanted to order. The deal was too sweet to pass.

I wonder if the side airbags can be added after the fact without an act of congress.

2005 SLE CC, 3.5, PCMforless tuned, homemade ramair intake.

You could add them but if not oem equiped, NO wiring harness to plug them into.

I got my colorado and I am here because I rearended a stopped Dodege Ram my '03 S-10 Ext cab going about 40 mph and it wrecked pretty bad. I am convinced that the air bag helped me walk away with out any major injury, I would have hurt my face/neck pretty bad if it werent for that air bag. the only injurys I had were bruised nose, and my right thumb hurts, but its better than what could have happened.

Stupid AirBags....?

People that say things like that scare me...That had to rank up there in the top 3 stupid things. If your brain dead they can just pull the plug? or you will figure something out if you are paralyzed? Try this one on for size===maybe walk away from a accident and get a brand new vehicle from your insurance company, wait, wait I know its a crazy thought. Your a brawny guy? Strong enough to withstand more pressure than your front bumper? I doubt it. Think about those comments. Sunroofs are highly over rated anyway, Let tons on hot sun in in the summer.

ive never been in an acident bad enough for the airbags to deploy and saying the airbags are "syupid" is the biggest god damn lie i have ever heard in my entire life. Hell, im only a sophmore and they have undoughtebly saved many of my friends lives more than once. But then again, sum of them got drunk so i guess you could say the airbags saved them from their own stupidity.

If its not a Chevy then WHY...THE F***...ARE YOU DRIVING IT!

Re: NHTSA Crash Tests

Have you seen the interiors of our Colorados? If GM is THAT cheap, I doubt they would see their way to installing side airbags as standard. ;)
