Smile Intro - better late than never, maybe....

I joined this forum because I recently ordered a ZR2 diesel extended cab to replace our 2005 Jeep Liberty CRD.

We like to explore back roads/trails while on vacation, and want something more capable than our Liberty and very importantly with a diesel engine. The Colorado and Grand Cherokee were the two vehicles that we actually went to look at a dealer after lots of research. FCA is having discussions/issues with the EPA, and has stopped selling the diesel GC and RAM 1500. My wife did not like the seats in the GC Trailhawk (gas) that we tried. Wife's comfort is VERY important. Colorado it is. After comparing the Z71 and ZR2; we decided to order a ZR2 (white, extended cab, Bose, bed liner).

I am an experienced Mechanical Product Design Engineer, currently we live in San Jose, CA. My other interests include bicycles, history, trains.

Nigel

Welcome to the site! Since we're neighbors and all, I'll be expecting my invitation to check out your truck. Ok mostly kidding but it seems there are quite a few of us here in the Bay Area. They have evening VW meetups sometimes in the parking lot of one of the coffee shops in Santa Clara. We should organize a Colorado meetup..

Edit.. oops didn't realize I had already commented on another thread you posted on. Guess I'm repeating myself.. Getting old.
