Default Spare tire and jack assembly questions

I bought a 2005 GMC Canyon Crew Cab Off-Road 2wd truck a couple of months ago. It has 31x10.50x15 Uniroyal Liberator A/T tires on it. After I got home with the truck I realized that it didn't have the spare tire underneath, and I looked inside and found no jack or tools. I told the car salesman I dealt with about it, and he said that he would get me one when they trade for a truck like mine. They have had 3 there since I bought mine, and I call him everytime and he said that it will have to be off of one that has racked up some miles on it before I could get one. I know I am not going to get any of these from him. I bought a doughnut spare off of a Colorado at a auto salvage yard, but my truck is supposed to have a full size spare on it. I have called auto salvages all over East Tennessee and nobody has a Canyon or a Colorado. I called the GMC dealership and got a quote on the jack and tool kit bag came up to be $260, he was trying to find a steel wheel to give a quote on that but couldn't at the time. I have come to the conclusion of just buying a bottle jack and a four-way lug wrench to work in place of the jack and tool kit and jsut use the doughnut spare I have. Anyone that can hepl me with this, I would be appreciate it.

Sorry that the post is so long.

$40 sounds good to me. I don't know when I will make it to Nashville though.

just buy yourself a hydraulic jack and tools from wal-mart, and for the spare im sure you could find a 31" tire on craigslist.

FYI, no Z71s ever came with a fullsize spare. They come with the smaller tire found on Z85 4wds.

Would the jack for a Canyon and Colorado be the same jack as one on a Silverado and Sierra?

As previously mentioned, buy yourself a hydraulic jack.
