I've ridden in a z85 and z71. Both felt the same on the road IMO. Never off roaded in a z85. I've never ridden or driven a zq8.

I own a Z71 and I have ridden in a Z85 as well, both seem to ride the same on the road. But if your gonna do any off-roading get the Z71. I have also ridden in a ZQ8 and they seem to handle a lil tighter on the road.

I have never had any complaints either personal or from passengers regarding the ride in my 2006 z71. Actually get favorable comments " this doesnt ride like a truck " etc.

For daily use, neither truck will be an issue. They are very easy riding (until you lift it and put on stiffer tires). LOL
Now mine rides as stiff as my off-road F150 did, but when I got this it was 'comfortable' to ride in all day. |

There really isn't much difference between a 4x4 z85 and a z71. The z71 has large fender flares, and larger wheels and tires. If your not off roading then a 4x4 z85 will be fine.
