A parts store has a tester for the battery, it will load test it, as in determine the state of charge while under a load. It may test out find sitting idle (not engine idle) but can't keep up with the load demands.

Go to you parts store and ask them to check our battery, they will know what to do. While they are testing, just ask them if they are load testing it to be sure that's what they are doing.

im waiting until a dealership is open but i checked with my meter and im getting 14.6v while the truck is running and 12.5 when the truck is off if that helps with info

Any autoparts store should be able to test the battery, you don't need to see a dealer.

Check or replace the belt tensioner.

so far since i have changed the spark plugs i havent noticed the issues happening so maybe that was the cause? and the new plugs didnt do any noticeable difference in performance with the ac delco irridiums
