Low voltage? Bad/weak alternator? I don't understand the phrase "heaters power down", you mean your blower fan slows down? Yeah, I'd check voltage, first!

sorry by power down i mean it seems like the fan speed drops from 3 setting to 1 setting and then back up to 3 when i press on the gas. my battery and alternator checked out fine and my buddy with the same truck changed his alternator thinking that was the issue because he is having the same problem with his truck but that hasnt fixed the problem for him yet either

What else do you have running? Sounds like the power draw for your truck is too high & the battery/alternator can't keep up?

Sounds like it idels so low that it can not produce enough juice to power all that electrical stuff running at the same time...All that would be a pretty good draw on the system....Good luck with the fix !!

I would agree with tweek until I realized you say it's a problem under 1000rpm, when idle is 650. Alternator probably not producing enough power.

Head over to your local auto parts store and have the load test your battery. They can determine the status of the battery conditioning. Otherwise, they can possibly check the alternator output on the vehicle to be sure it's producing enough power to properly charge the battery.

the problem originally started a year ago but wasnt to worried about it until subs were installed and then i could hear the crackling. ill check the alternator tomorrow but im not sure if that. my buddy changed his alternator when he had this problem and the problem still persists with him. my truck is stock other than the subs right now

Sounds like a "bad" ground, but above sugestion to have parts store check the battery sounds good.

What size amp are you running? Maybe you can't provide enough power to the amps with your stock charging system?

What other symptoms do you have. I doubt that "crackling subs" is really something you can push back on the charging system. With everything else you have going on though, it's definitely a charging issue, you're drawing power more quickly than you can produce it.

what do you mean by check the battery? just the voltage across it or the amps? i have a meter at my house that could check that stuff. its a 800 w amp but the issue was going on before the amp and sub install. and ya just my rpm drops below 500 now and everything just seems to power down or the headlights dim. ive heard a few people talk about bad grounds and thats an endless hunt for that issue i feel haha
