Hey guys,
New to the forum :) I own a 2009 Chevy Colorado 2.9L LT. I just came across an issue today with my oil pan. The threading on my oil pan for my oil plug was stripped and someone re-threaded it without me knowing. Now the threading has come off and I am not able to find any sort of plug to that will do the job. Should I replace the oil pan or get it re-threaded?? Not really sure what to do, I've never had this happen and never heard of it happening to anyone I know. Thanks in advance, Jamie |

I would just replace it... and welcome to c'fans
check gmpartsdirect.com... most likely cheaper than the dealership.

Most auto parts stores carry rubber expandable oil drain plugs that can be used to temporarily get you going. Buy Dorman - Autograde Oil Drain Plug Universal 1/2 Inch / M12 65200 at Advance Auto Parts You should replace the oil pan for a permanent, reliable fix. The Part Number for the oil pan is 12600499 and should be available online for $125-$150. Check gmpartsdirect or gmpartsgiant.
