Re: how many miles do you have on your I5 engine

my 2009 just hit 3400 on its way to get a 350 dollar block heater installed due to the stupid way they set up the heating system.

Re: how many miles do you have on your I5 engine

Just hit 82k and still running good. I use valvoline full syn, changed the plugs once and tranny fluid, changed the fuel filter and add a bottle of seafoam every 10,000 miles just to keep the fule injectors and combustion chamber clean.

Re: how many miles do you have on your I5 engine

I don't have too many kms on my 05...bought it in February with 55,000 and I'm at 73,000 now. My 97 Sierra was at 293,000 kms when I sold it and it still ran like a top. Hoping to get as much out of the Canyon.

Re: how many miles do you have on your I5 engine

2006 z71 just hit 50,000 km today not a single problem, just light bulb replacements.
i only used conventional oil.
Drive it very hard.
I actually met a guy that had 330,000 kms, not sure what repairs he did though.

Re: how many miles do you have on your I5 engine

Have 82K on my 2005 Canyon. Looking to do spark plugs shortly. Not been a pleasant driving experience with it. 20K defective dash, 25K cracked head, 30K bad O2 sensor, 31K cracked heat shield & dead head lamp, 40K blown heated seat(and they switched the wires on me;low is high, high is low), 70K leaking LF axle seal. 80K 2nd cracked heat shield. I want 200K out of her but not sure at this point. Pretty Truck. Only time will tell. Dave T.

2005 Canyon Z71 SLE 1SF package, I5, 3.73, Superior Blue, 4x4 crew cab, leather, sun roof, hard tonneau, crome steps, tow pkge, bed rug, hood protector, Husky Liners, BA speakers, 31x10.5 tires, K&N system, two sets of tires & rims for summer & winter.

Re: how many miles do you have on your I5 engine

I have 177,000 miles so far, bought in May 2004. No engine problems. Water pump, cat. conv., front axle seal, vent solenoid on gas tank, and battery have been replaced and minor electrical problem (air bag light on) with wires in ext. cab door. Only a few times had the door locks and window switch not worked momentarily, hasn't did it in awhile. I'm aiming for 200,000 miles, there cannot be to many I-5's with that much mileage. Have used Mobil 1 syn. the life of the truck.

2004 Colorado LS, Z-71, 4x4, ext. cab.
