But towing it away is still possible. May have to start booting my own truck and or put anchors in the ground with steel cables padlocked through the wheels.. I knew guys that never wanted their supermotos stolen and went that route

Are they being cut up locally, or are they throwing 'em in containers and shipping them to Asia(here it's Mexico and Central/South America)?
I assume it's an island-wide problem? Heck, is it a STATE-wide problem?
That totally BLOWS man!
I like your rip-the-antenna idea. I like Sirius, but they're two different antennas, right?

They're probably cut up locally for parts... Not specific to Colorado's... Just auto theft period. I would have to look in the book and get back to you.

Yeah I got that.
Hondas are supposed to be the most popular(at least with 'professional' thieves anyway) in the U.S. simply because of their popularity.
Hopefully for that reason the Colorado is not a popular vehicle with them.
You know, back in the good 'ole days horse theft was a hanging O-ffense and you could[legally] shoot a thief in the act, and that was because horses were people's transpo.
They should've just lateraled that law over to motor vehicles and kept it active.
Insurance would prolly be a lot cheaper, but you guys have really restrictive firearms laws there, don't you?
Reminds me of another Hawaii story I have
Last year I accidentally flew to Maui with a pistol magazine in my murse(as my wife calls it)-5.11 medic bag I use to carry all my shit in- that just happened to be loaded up with fricken hollow points(which IIRC is a major no-go there)
The funny part about it was, I flew from L.A. to Maui and nobody caught it. Not until I was leaving Maui for home did they find it.
Don't worry about looking in your manual for the antenna. I can just look on my roof.

That's what I want to do at some point, have you looked at it very closely yet?

I hope the EPA isn't able to use this to force OBDIII through. I vaguely remember OBDIII standard was for the vehicle to report emissions data live so if we have the basics for that type of stuff already on board it would be feasible that it could get turned on and implemented at some point.

That will likely come, but for now it's just for convenience. Later it may be mandated

While I do dig the raw metal look, I like brushed finish over satin. It's not that serious... I'm just gonna unplug the cellular and satellite antennas and be done with it. I will be able to see the OnStar telematics information to confirm it no longer has communication with the mother ship

I found it... @yokev
It is located in the forward right kick panel.. There are 2 coaxial connectors connected to the k73 telematics gateway... Unplug those two and bluetooth should still work fine

Correct... And that one goes to the radio module, not the telematics gateway. The two that plug into the telematics gateway are the ones to unplug. Word on that matter, if those two are unplugged you can no longer use the OnStar app or mychevrolet app with the truck. And i really like long range keyfob... Like super long range, anywhere in the world both you and the truck have data service

If you scroll a few post upwards, I uploaded the document containing the location. It's in the front right of the cab behind a kick panel.

I didn't even think of error lamps. What's shitty is I can't turn those off if they did show up. I can only get into the ECM, not the other controllers those codes would likely come from

As much as I like the idea, not me.....

I'm all thumbs regarding tech stuff.

I tried to update my laptop last night and it committed suicide right in front of me ...... while sitting on my lap!
