FAQ
More than likely you will notice that after you lower a Colorado the passenger side will sit higher than the driver’s side. You can fix this by removing a 1/2”-3/4” of a coil off the top of the passenger’s side coil spring.

Crew Cab and Ext Cab guys can use Regular Cab springs to achieve an extra 1/4" – 1/2" drop.

You can trim or remove the upper bumps stops above the leaf springs to allow for more suspension travel and a smother ride.

If you truck sits uneven in the rear you can adjust the rear leaf spring shackles forward or backwards to accommodate the difference.

The first batch of DJM A-Arms were know for bending but they have since redesigned them and are replacing the old ones at no charge as long as you bought them from an authorized DJM Dealer.

S10 lowering blocks will work if modified first. The Colorado uses a 15/32" alignment pin while an S10 uses a 9/16" diameter alignment pin. So you will have to grind them down from 15/32 to 9/16" for the blocks to work.

The Xtreme Colorado comes with same suspension as a ZQ8 but the xtreme looks lower because the fender flares hang down a 1/2” lower than zq8 flares.

Stock ZQ8 Coil Springs are 1’ lower than Z85 Coil Springs.

Stock ZQ8 Leaf Springs are 1” lower than Z85 Leaf Springs.

The ZQ8’s overall tire diameter is 1” less than a Z85’s tire diameter thus making the ZQ8 Look even lower than a Z85.

I think it would be a good idea to compile pictures of trucks with certain drops. This way people could see if they chose this certain combination of parts, they would be able to see the turnout.

Anyone agree?

If you look at PDF page 3 - in step 2 it refers to the "STREET PERFORMANCE" shocks as quick reference# QR7056. Then go to PDF page 9 where you will find an index of Quick Reference numbers. It lists QR7056 as parts: 25005 / 220896

But if you look at PDF page 4 is lists the parts as 25005 / 22096

The 4203 will actually give you approximately .25" - .50" lower drop due to the extra weight of the extended cab and the ride won't be as harsh. It will fit the same.

If you're willing to drive way up to Victorville, we can get you hooked up for a really good price. What are you looking to lower your truck with?

It's because the ZQ8 is already lowered using drop springs from the factory. So, a 2" drop spring will lower a Z85 2" but will only lower a ZQ8 .5". The springs will fit, they just won't lower the ZQ8 much because it's already dropped a little.

It's not the cheapest, but it's the best way. I don't know if you can cut the 4203's to drop you 2" on top of the 1" drop you already have because it means cutting off about 2 full loops.
