Rear Weld in 5-Link Air Ride Kit * Now Available

Rear Bolt in 5-Link Air Ride Kit *Not Released Yet

The kits will be a forward mounted wish-bone link set up, with the bags mounted on link bars for better lift and ride quality. I have designed the kit so that you use the factory fuel tank and also keep the EVAP system. The kit will include everything you need, including new brackets to relocate the EVAP canister, and also a gas X-member which will raise your gas tank. Both will completely lay out on 22’s.

You need to be a little more detail oriented next time you research something lke this. BarnYard Customs is closed, and has been for most of this year. says so very plainly on the homepage of the builtbybyc website. the owner, Mike White, has been stealing people's money and jerking them around for a few years now. just thought you might want to know so you can remove it from the post.

I posted the information to help people out, it isn't perfect but its a good start. I have heard plenty of bad stuff about byc and that they are closed but I am not going to put down a company that I haven't had any experience with. You have 37 post and your going to tell me I need to do more research.

I didn't say you needed to do more research, I said u should check the details more closely. go to the BuiltbyBYC website, please. it says very plainly on the homepage, Barnyard Customs is Now Closed. you can't buy anything from BYC anymore, nor should you. so there's no point in listing a company on your post that is no longer in business and can't be purchased from. and I can bash BYC because I have done business with them in the past, and Mike White does owe me money.

and, how does post count have anything to do with how much research someone has done? if it makes you feel good that you have 700 posts and I only have 30, then I congratulate you.

I wasn't bashing you or your post. you provided alot of good information and you did a very good job. I was just trying to help you and anyone else that might waste their time trying to buy something from BYC. but, you can take the little unimportant things as personally as you want to, I suppose.

hey brewer15650, you seem to know alot about lowering a colorado with zq8 suspension so i was wondering if you could help me out. I am thinking about bagging my truck and I don't know where to start. It will soon be lowered 2" front and 3" rear. I want to be able to lay frame on 20's with 245/35 tires. Any advice you can give me on EVERYTHING I need would be great.

Re: Ultimate AIR RIDE FAQ, How To's, Part #s and Helpful Info

i know this has been around a while but... Mini truckin put one of GTC fabs rear 5 link on a colly and did a little

walk-through looks pretty cut and dry all things being considered. the rear 5 link comes with everything

except airlines, tank, compressor and fittings.

http://www.gtcfabrication.com/catalo...x.php?cPath=21

in addition, anytime now they will be releasing a few tubular upper and lower control arm kits that will lay out on 24s.

they are uni-joint upper and lower and complete with bag and shock brackets. a little pricey at 1399.00

but very hassle-free. the only welding required is the upper bag bracket and upper shock bracket. heres the link.

Re: Ultimate AIR RIDE FAQ, How To's, Part #s and Helpful Info

I just installed a set of bags for the back and a compressor system from AirLift... It's not a slam kit, it's a load leveler kit.

$189 for the bags - ebay.com Search for "Air Lift 59546"
$141 for the compressor kit - Jegs.com Search for 25592 (131+shipping)

Installation was super easy(as long as you have the tools, nothing complicated about it at all), and quite elegant to me. I put the pressure gauge between the hood and brake release, it's sort of a dangerous spot if I rearend enyone, for my shin. But it is easy access and fits there just fine.

My compressor wont hold air, don't bother trying to find a check valve for it, just call Air Lift and they sent me out one free. Apparently a pretty common problem. You can use the bags without the onboard compressor, heck you could even use one of those $30 tire inflators, but once you set the pressure you are stuck with it until you stop and get out and adjust it again.

One super cool feature I found was when running the air line to the back from the engine bay; The clips that hold the brake lines have one more spot available for "something else", so I just pushed the air line into the clips and didn't have to use any zip ties. I put the compressor right behind the right head light, infront of the air box. To the ley person it looks factory.
