Lowering an xtreme with that kit I think your going to be having lots a rubbing issues up front for sure. My ZQ8 rubs enough with the additional 2" Belltech drop (balljoints & blocks). Your axle will likely be sitting on the frame unless you c-notch it as well.

Keep in mind the XTREME flares are larger and hang down lower than the ZQ8 flare.

Re: lowering 06 colorado extreme.. please help!!!

its 3/4 you are already 1/2 i would suggest the bell tech pro kit for the front and blocks for the back. the kit also comes with 1/4 spacers to take care of chevy lean.

Re: lowering 06 colorado extreme.. please help!!!

I'm rollin 2.25"/3" on mine when the rear helper bags are aired down and very minimal rubbing on the stock tires or my 255.35.20

I'm running QA1 adjustable coilover up front and JTR 2" blocks in the rear.

The Ground Force kit would be a better way to go but will only drop the front an inch since the Xtreme already has the ZQ8 1" drop spring from the factory.

To get another inch using that kit you will need to get the Belltech 1" drop shocks.

it depends on the budget. from what i can get outta what you posted, you wanna drop 2/2 or 2/3. you could go with bjs and blocks by belltech or 2'' lowering springs with 1'' drop shocks up front and blocks in the back also all made by belltech. the upper end stuff would be the coilovers either by QA1 or Belltech. i would stay away from the belltech drop leafs. i hear they are way too soft. you will probly need a low profile tranny crossmember and a c notch. those along with coilovers and youll be set.

Re: lowering 06 colorado extreme.. please help!!!

I went with the 2" drop ball joints and 3" blocks from belltech and I think its perfect. The way I did it probably isn't as smooth as the way dbnissan did it but it was definately cheaper.

I don't see how you guys can ride on a 2/3 drop on an xtreme. I have 4203's up front and 2" blocks in the back and it slaps the frame very frequently. The front bottoms out a good bit too, but not nearly as bad as the back. It looks good tho.

Running the same set-up and love it. I had to cut rear bump stops to reduce rear slap some.

It must be because mine is an extended cab and both of yours are crew cabs.

Re: lowering 06 colorado extreme.. please help!!!

Whos truck is the yellow crew cab xtreme? Love the drop setup youve got, can you tell me what kit or parts you used to get that look? Does the ride feel almost or similar to stock? whta does de-bagged mean and what does that do? Is it true the exteme is already lowered 1"? does that mean you dropped your truck only a 1/2 inch?

All of that was answered in the post I made...but to answer it again belltech 4203 springs and 2" blocks.

Yes. No. The truck is already 1" lower, so if you use a 2" lowering sring(which is for a z85) you'll get a little bit more than an inch.
