Upper Ball Joint Flip / Spacer Lift?

I have heard of this twice ubt don't know anyhting about it. Can anyone tell me how it's done? I've hear you can get up to about 1" of lift out of it...

flip the mounting from on top to bottom where it mounts. spacer just do thr same and add 1/4" spacer. look over on the nation and there is the how to

you can make a lower spacer up to a .5" for 4x4s which will give you an extra .5" lift on top of the upper

So this could net me 1.5" of lift? Maybe I'll relax my TBs some :)

possibly, yes. the lift gained from the upper flip/spacer is from the torsion bar being unbound that's why the results vary based on torsion bar crankage. the lower is a 1:1 lift ratio but cannot exceed .5" on 4x4 models

I want to do this on my truck but was wondering if I should untill after I put a suspesion lft kit on or does it matter?

I fail to see how spacing the UCA is going to give you any lift, when the ride height is determined by the LCA. The only thing I see a UCA spacer doing, is mildly relieving some ball joint angle.

exactly. relieving the bind on the balljoint allows it to provide a small amount of lift.
ex. you crank 10 turns on your tb's but your bj is maxxed at 8 turns. doing the flip will allow all 10 turns

Then you don't understand what the spacer does then.Just like in the old days of lowered mini's with lower balljoint spacers to go low the upper spacer lifts the truck by moving the spindle down of its original location.Its so simple it amazes me why they can't see what it does exactly
