I think my truck may have gone to the junkyard in the sky.

Today I was doing about 45mph and a 4door fucus pulled out in front of me and I T boned her passenger side. Her car is in real bad shape. She said she just dropped off a friend. Any one in that pass seat would have been killed or very badly hurt. THe door was damn near in the center console.

My truck is in pretty bad shape I think.

whole Front clip crushed
frame is sticking out up front and bent outwards
windshield busted
pas door dosnt open without force
radiator busted and pushed into motor
air bag deployed
I guess frame is twisted because bed is sitting further to the pass side than what GM normaly has it
radio flew into the dash about 3-4"
20gallon reptile tank in back seat shatterd and cut left leg, left arm, left ear, and stabbed one inch below my right eye
burn from airbag on top of my right hand.

Thats all I can think of at the moment
I have gap coverage and I hope it gets totaled.
I dont want to drive this thing if they try and put it back together.
THis is my first big wreck like this so I dont know what they consider bad or whatever.

Im happy I came out with the minor pain I have. Thank you God and air bags. In the past ive considerd after market steering wheels with no bag but not anymore.

Im going in the morning to take off my 20s and I'll take pics to post.
SORRY I DONT HAVE ANY NOW :)

UPDATE
OK have pics now

If I were you, I would ask for a copy of the estimate and then take all the parts and price them out yourself. Also take the estimate to another shop and ask them what labour times it would be for each part. I will try and find my final invoice and post up the prices to show you how much less damage was done to my truck and how low that estimate is.

Now I hope she has good coverage.

I was NOT at fault. She had a stop sign and I didnt. She pulled out in front of me. I dont think I even had time to hit the brakes.
It's good to know that you are not at fault, but darn horrible that you are without your truck.

Its fixed. Been back in it for 4 days now.
It drives better than before the wreck.

Only thing left outstanding is that they didnt replace my pass side front tire. THey missed the bubble in the sidewall even after I told the shop to be sure and tell the adjuster about it. Im going to call the ins tomorrow and figure out how to get it replaced.

THe shop painted my door handles and lower bumper to match the rest of truck. It looks good. I was going to paint everything up front but I decided to leave all the stock chrome.

I will try and get pics soon.

Well its good to hear that you got your truck back. I ran into Moley the other day and he started talking about you and your truck.
A big WELCOME BACK! To your truck. Darn glad to see that your truck is fixed and running like the champ it is.

Keep on trucking! :D
