Can't help you with a picture, but if you have the I4 engine it is on the left front side of the engine below and quite well hidden under the intake manifold. This part needs to be put back on because these trucks use the sensor to map the fuel curve. Most computer driven vehicles only use this for reference values and turn on the electric fans.
But if the gauge is working but engine is not getting up to operating temp and the heater isn't getting very warm I'd say the thermostat is stuck open
