Since everyone keeps asking me about how much light my LEDs out put and how well do they look, here is a thread of everything, all in one place so everyone can reference.
I've posted these up on the Facebook page, so if you're not there, here they are.
This is the base picture, starting with no light, except the overhead street light.
Blue, will LED high beams require an anti flicker or bulb out cable ? I ordered a pair of Putco Night Lux LED high beams. It looks like they come with a ballast cable.
I am trying to figure what all I will need to convert all of my interior and exterior lights to LED/HID. I am getting confused as to how many of each bulb I will need. I am writing information down on paper, but my numbers don't quite jive with what i read in different threads about LED lights.
If you would be so kind, since you've changed them all, could you post how many of each type of bulb is required, and any special add ons for them as well? I know that is asking a lot, but I have spend a few hours on here the last couple of days trying to get it all written down, and am totally confused. I don't want to spend money on too many of one type of bulb and not enough of another, or not get error eliminators/what not for others and then need them.
I love the look you've done with the lights on your truck, and i know others who are interested in LEDs would also appreciate having a list of type and number of bulbs and required extras.

I had to swap the pins on my JDM ASTAR bulbs. Oddly enough, it made the front amber parking lamps not come on in DRL or in park, which actually looks better to me. They still operate like normal otherwise.
Has anyone had trouble with their HIDs not igniting? At first I thought I had a blown bulb, but the next time it came on. Now I notice they are coming on a half to a full second a part. They are getting close to a year old now.
Swapped all my bulbs out this weekend on my Colorado this was a great thread with lots of great information. Only thing i didnt get to do was install the resistors mostly because i forgot to research which to splice into... does anyone have the diagram for the right splices?
I plan on following Blues light thread to increase fwd lighting in rural KY. SInce the DRLs are using low power low beams how do HID systems handle this? Here is what I am looking at using for the low beams.
You'll need H11B for low beams.
And since you are using TRS for the HID's, take a look at their 2 Stroke LED 9005 for the high beams. Near same price, and 5K lume.
Fogs are 5202.
I live in Butler, KY about 20 min from I75 and the Ohio River. If you are gonna pass thru on 75 on your way to NJ give me a shout and I would love to see you truck in person.
Hey Blue. My license plate bulbs keep burning out starting with flickering then going out completely. Only takes a couple days sometimes. What brand have you had the least issues with?
I wish I could give you a positive answer to it. I ordered some JDM Astar 194 bulbs and had to swap out both sides already. I'm working on trying to figure out if it's the bulbs or the circuitry.
I got the H11 bulb kit from Genssi. How do these bulbs fit in? The bulbs in the kit twist in, but when I removed my stock bulbs, they unclip and pull straight out.
from my understanding is that it uses a small amount of light from the center dome light. I swapped my dome light out and that light is now the same white as the dome light
I've been looking for some 5202 LED fogs, but I keep finding them referred to as 5202 (H16). Are H16s actually the same as 5202 and will they interchange? I can't find a definitive answer anywhere.
Those are the newer generation of what I currently have. Same manufacturer.
