Hey all 07 I5 owners,

I recently installed a 06 AEM Brute Force CAI and I love it.. the sound from it is really deep and throaty....

I want to give big props to The Wolf! for a quality and precision adapter plate for the MAF sensor... The plate is well designed and manufactured... words cannot explain how bad a$$ this thing is here's a pic .

Don't mind my mess with the permatex.. I have to shave the excess off with a razor blade..

The modification of the MAF hole on the intake was fairly easy.. I just bolted up the SSK adapter plate and used it as a template.. Then I used a file to remove the material to make the notch in the hole for the 07 MAF sensor.. I then used a RTV silicone to seal it all up..

I don't recommend doing this if you only have a little time left in your day.. It does take time to file down to make the notches and to clean up all the metal shavings... take your time with it and it'll be all worth it in the end.

CAUTION - The 07 MAF sensor screws do not fit the AEM intake... or at least mine didn't and the intake doesn't come with a set of screws.. So before the install I picked up some Metric screws as you can see in the pics but I forgot what size they were.. but just wanted to throw that out there..

Other than that the setup is running great... No CEL or codes popping up....no stuttering or lag in the throttle response either.. Here is a pic of the complete product.. dont mind the dirty engine bay

But this would not have been possible without Wolf's SSK MAF Adapter Plate... he was also a big help with the process too..
Thanks again Ron!!

Looks like a top notch job! 8)

Now I'm really interested in how the 3.7 feels with the AEM Bruteforce. Did you notice any difference in throttle response and power?

BTW Good job Ron!!

yeah the throttle response is definitely there and so is the power increase... but I also have a custom cat back with the borla pro xs muffler single in dual out... with this combo it feels like the rear wants to break loose sometimes.. i didn't floor it yet so i wouldn't know..

thanks to db for the suggestion of the pro xs.. i love the sound and with the dual out it has a nice rumble to it.. I'm have 2 1/2 in. pipe to the muffler and two 2 1/4 in. pipes out each side.. i still gotta take pics of that too..

Where can i get that adapter plate?

Also will a mass air sensor off of a 3.5 work with our motor or are they not interchangable?

The older MAFs will not work with the 3.7, hence the need to make an adapter plate.
