All AMSoil products (oil, brake, steering, transmission, gear fluids, chassis lube, engine flush, fuel treatment, etc) FTW! Definitely helps being a dealer and buying at dealer prices!

Dino and synthetic oils meet the SAE requirements. If an oil is 5w30 it doesn't matter if it's dino or synthetic - it's 5w30. Our engines require 5w30.

Thanks for coming out.

The owners manual clearly specifies 5W-30 for temps between 0 and 100 degrees.

that and synthetic and dyno doesnt make a difference to me, the last 30k miles i have been doing my own oil changes, i get the oil change specials from auto zone, orielys, and advance..i dont care what the claims are its my truck, i will change it with what i want, its not using any oil, it runs great. all oil comes from the same source, it all comes down to manufacture, and additives. my my opinion..

Well put. I love how folks assume that the Engineers are morons. They specifiy 5w30 for 0-100 degrees Farenheit because anything more complicated would confuse people like this dude.

Well, apparently he's confused anyways.

Sounds like ricer math. The temp of the blacktop and the color of your paint doesn't matter, your engine is liquid cooled.
If you lived in Death Valley, CA where the summer temps regularly climb above 100 degrees, I could see switching to 10W-30.
Even though our engine is designed to run on 5W-30 and all the collective wisdom on this site agrees, you obviously know better.

It's not that you are using synthetic oil ( and learn to spell - Jesus ) - all of us in this thread are using synthetic oil. It's that you are using 10w30 in an engine designed for 5w30.

We know who makes Syntec, but thanks for playing.
I actually used it once upon a time until I found out about Amsoil. :D
