rerouted brake cables over top of frame like it should have been in the first place.

Way it looks now, you can see the rub marks how it use to be.

up over cab mount.
Image

over frame
Image

over drive line using factory clamps, sheet metal screwed under cab.
Image

plenty of clearance.
Image

plenty of clearance over exhaust pipe also.
Image

Pretty easy, not alot of room to get to 10mm bolts on clamps. But still well worth it.

I had to replace my rear brake shoes and right-rear drum AFTER I redid the rear brakes. I drove over a large chunk of tire tread and it hooked the park brake cable, that I zip-tied up, and put a nasty 90° kink in it. Enough for the rear brakes to drag and wear down completely

Good job on the re-routing of the cables Ron! 8)

Did you have to remove them from the shoes?

I'm actually assuming that is a yes. Found my saturday project!

I believe that the guys are disconnecting it at the adjuster under the cab.

Only need to disconect at adjustment only. unbolt all brackets except last one closest to wheel. Use 2 of the clamps to reclamp under cab above driveshaft.

great mod wolf! did mine yesterday, took 30 minutes, cost was $0.00, and now the cables are safely out of the way, and no longer an eye sore. i swear my parking brake works smoother now too...could just be the adjustments to the tension. great job.

I work up some pics when i can use my garage again.

I headed the pass side over the drive shaft and muffler. The driver side goes straight up and parallels the fuel lines.

That's exactly what I just did..They both go over the top of the frame right behind the body mount shown in pic #2 of those pics that were posted..Its a perfect fit..I eliminated one of the stock clamps. I believe its the final one on the drivers side right before the cables connect to the front cable via that 2 into 1 set up. Thanks for those pics though, they came in handy.

So this may be a stupid question, but you used all the same clamps and just rerouted the cables? I really need to do this to mine, i ran into the same problem with getting the cable snagged and wearing down my pads. Thanks

when i go over the driveline. i tuck it under the heat sheild now. works perfectly. When re-routing, do not kink your lines.
