I recently purchased an 07 colorado LT-3.7L-4wd. I was looking into putting a small lift in it-but cant seem to find a kit to fit my truck. Whats the deal? Do they not make kits for this truck? i only wanted to put some 31's or maybe 33's at the most and not make the truck so squatty. What options do i have? Please help!!

I was looking at a suspension lift at first. The truck is very squatty(stock) and is not a z71. Iwas on 4wheel parts online and there are no suspension or body lifts listed for my truck. I did find a rancho suspension kit for my truck on another site that costs 1366.00. I wasnt looking to spend that much money to be honest since i still wanted to buy wheels and tires. As i said i am looking to "beef" up my truck a little and put some 31,32, or 33s on it. I just dont know my options. looking for some advice.

That looks about right on pricing a rancho kit. Skyjacker might be a little cheaper (11ish maybe? with the AAL). If you are looking for something cheaper you may want to look at a body lift (Performance accessories on new release page - 08 will work on a 07 - have it on my truck). If looking even cheaper then it will be TB crank and shackle/AAL.

Skyjacker AALs are a little more pricey. There are cheaper alternatives out there but i can not comment on the quality.

This is the body kit I put on my truck about a year ago:

Performance Accessories 10223 - 2008 GMC/CHEVY CANYON / COLORADO 3" BODY LIFT KIT. USE GAP GUARD #6545

Look about half way down the page:

Thank you jackedupcnyn -I realized what you meant about the lift kit rite after my previous post and looked at it on perf. acces. website. looks to be about 525 or so with gap guards. Think im goin with the skyjacker 2''(torsion key) kit. If i did go with the torsion key set up would i be correct to assume i would need a 2'' aal?

You can crank the keys without buying anything. May need to add shackles or and AAL to the back to level or slightly rake the back up. If you are looking at going the key route then I would seriously look into the Suspension MAXX products. They have WAY better keys that index and shock extenders for the front. May be a little more money but definitely worth it. They are also just about to release shackles (with shock extenders) for the rear which should be cheaper than the skyjacker AAL. PM ssgjurista (memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=11080) and tell him what you are looking for. He has been working very closely with Suspension Maxx to get them on these forums and in the 355s.

I just pm'd him-thanx. I definitely would have no problem payin a little more for the suspension max parts if they are better. The skyjacker keys were 137 and change and the leafs were about 225 for the pair. So a little more than that is still in my range for sure. I sure do hate having a budget!!! But to do everything i want i have to make compromises. Next summer i will go for the 4'' suspension kit. Then i will already have tires and it will only be 1500 instead of 3000 now!! My main goal here is just to make my truck look like a truck and not a car with a bed.

The keys are the best I have seen and so your are going to pay more for them. Shackles are shackles but both kits should come with shock extenders so you not have to buy new shocks now. Will need them for the suspension lift if you do it later.

Keep us posted.

Well after reading, reading, and reading some more today on this site about the performance maxx keys, aals, lifts and tires i think ive finally come to my30th conclusion of the day! lol  At first i didnt realize i really dont need the keys and/or what the purpose of them even was, slowly im gettin it. My truck has never had the torsion bars cranked and as far as i can tell i have no sag, therefore i am probably just goin to do the torsion crank w/out the key for now. I will put the skyjacker aal in to raise the rear as well. So with the money i save from not buying the keys i will get the 3'' body lift from perf. acces. that you had mentioned with the flaps. only about 300 more to get body lift as opposed to gettin the tk i dont necessarily need. Although i do intend on purchasing the spacers for the diff. drop from perf. maxx. I think this will get me where i wanna be. Now my only question is tires and wheels. I know i will go with 33's but not sure on width. thinkin 11.5. Should i stay with a 15''wheel or go up to a 16"", whatta you think- does it matter?

Prolly wont find a 33X11.50. I prefer 15's. Thats just me. I love big tires.

Oh and on the AAL. Why not just get the procomp AAL for $30 from Amazon? :) No need to spend alot of money if ya dont have to.

Im running 3" crank on stock keys. Procomp AAL and 2" Shackles. I have $100 in the AAL and Shackles combined and $100 in the rear Rancho shocks. Thats it!

Im running a 32X11.50 and never rub. Never rubbed with just a 2" either.

My sig is with the 2". You can search for Murdah and look at the recent pics if ya wanna see what it looks lke.

Thats my .02 man. :D
