I have a 25 Canyon Denali and just moved to a state that requires using both licenses plates. My front bracket came uninstalled. When I looked into having it installed, it required drilling into the bumper, followed by installing rivets, not to mention a cost between $100 and $200.

I found a company that sells a very well made bracket that easily attaches to the front grill. I had to try a couple spots in order to not interfere with the front camera. It’s called a new Platypus ( I know, weird name) and the company/site is;

My Chevy dealer refused to deface my wife's 2011 Camaro with a front plate.

I just mounted mine in its stock location but got some tinted cover for it. Since my truck is pretty dark, it looks quite good.
My wife got a tinted plate cover for my rear plate, (very light tint), cop pulled me over in the same week to take it off. Same one on her car, 3+years later, nothing, but she doesn't go further that a 2 mile radius.

Except for parking tickets, I don't think I got a real ticket in the past 38 years. Plenty of warnings for one thing or another, but to my advantage, age, putting all windows down and staying polite goes a long way.

It is amazing that Turning Off the Vehicle, Turning On Interior Light (at night), Putting Down the Windows and being Polite
All go a long way to yielding a good result on a Traffic Stop

I always though plates look better centered on the front bumper, probably because that's how it's normally been.

Heck you could have just used something for cushion on the back of the plate (so it doesn't scratch the grill plastic) and used some stainless steel wire ties (straps) and got out spending less money

I live in a state that requires front plates too and I frequently see newer vehicles where they strapped the plate on to the front grill either using wire ties or using some stiff copper wire.
